IMPORTANT COURSE UPDATE

In response to the forecast weather conditions, we've made the decision to shorten and amend the GRAVELISTA courses for 2026, prioritising rider safety while preserving the spirit of the event.
Riders entered in the 135km and 95km distances will now complete the same revised single-loop course, with the return to Seymour adjusted to avoid the more technical gravel sections.
GRAVELISTA 2026 is proceeding as planned, with racing now commencing at 10am.
THE COURSE
Starting and finishing at Seymour Racecourse, the course begins with a flat, paved 2.5km section before heading onto the gravel roads of the surrounding countryside.
Riders travel north along Lambing Gully Road, reconnecting with the course via Hall Lane and avoiding the rough, bluestone and flood-prone section of East-West Hall Lane.
At approximately 29.4km, the course turns towards Wicket Hill Road and one of the day's defining challenges: Wicket Hill Climb. While only 1km in length, this demanding ascent gains approximately 125m of elevation, averaging 11%.
Beyond Wicket Hill, riders continue through the rolling countryside surrounding Seymour, enjoying wide-open gravel roads, undulating terrain and occasional stretches of paved road.
After completing a single loop, the revised course returns to Seymour via a less technical route, before finishing at Seymour Racecourse and the event village.
The course remains a qualifier for the 2027 UCI Gravel World Championships, with riders competing in their respective UCI age categories.
The recreational ride is open to riders entered in either the original 135km or 95km distances.

GRAVELISTA 50KM

Starting and finishing at Seymour Racecourse, the 50km recreational ride offers an accessible introduction to GRAVELISTA, taking riders through the picturesque countryside surrounding Seymour.
Following the same opening kilometres as the longer UCI courses, riders head out along quiet country roads, enjoying rolling terrain, open landscapes and beautiful views of the meandering Hughes Creek.
The course follows an out-and-back format, with the revised return route avoiding the more technical gravel sections before leading riders back to Seymour Racecourse and the event village.
Open to all recreational riders aged 14 and over.
